If your ISP provides a modem/router combo (common with AT&T, Xfinity, Spectrum), put the ISP gateway in bridge/passthrough mode to avoid double NAT. Call your ISP to enable this — it makes Eero the sole router on the network.

Check node placement with the Eero app
The Eero app shows signal strength between nodes. Any node showing below 75% connection quality to its upstream node will bottleneck your entire mesh. Reposition offline or weak nodes closer to get above 85% connection quality.

In the Eero app, tap a specific node and run a speed test from that node's location. This tells you if the bottleneck is the ISP connection (gateway node issue) or the mesh backhaul (satellite node placement issue).
