Restart Hue Bridge by unplugging power for 10 seconds
Unplug the Hue Bridge power cable (the small round connector on the back). Wait 10 seconds. Plug back in. The Bridge takes 1-2 minutes to fully restart. The solid blue LED on the front indicates it's online. Most 'unreachable' and offline issues resolve with a Bridge restart.

Reset a Hue bulb with 5 on-off cycles
Turn the Hue bulb on at your regular light switch. Turn it off and on rapidly 5 times, ending in the ON position. The bulb will flash 3 times to confirm factory reset. Then open the Hue app → Settings → Lights → Add Light to re-add it to your Bridge.

Assign your Hue Bridge a static IP in your router
Log into your home router's admin page and assign the Hue Bridge a static IP (DHCP reservation by MAC address). This prevents the Bridge's IP from changing after power outages, which often causes the Hue app to lose connection to the Bridge.
